The castle, which adjoins the southern shore property of Allmannshausen Castle, was built in 1889 by the Munich building contractor Heinrich Hoech and was originally called "Biberkor Castle". The industrialist Peter Göring from Kochel rebuilt the castle in 1902 and officially changed the name to Schloss Seeburg. After several changes of ownership, it was sold to the National Socialist People's Welfare Organization by Adolf von Brüning's widow in 1941, and after the end of the Second World War it fell to the Free State of Bavaria. Today it is leased to "Wort des Lebens e.V.", a Christian children's and youth organization. In 2012, the Bavarian Ministry of Finance abandoned its plans to sell Seeburg and Schloss Allmannshausen (municipality of Berg).

Castle-like complex in neo-Romanesque forms with bay windows, turrets, keep, castle chapel and attached outbuildings. It was designed by Julius Hofmann in 1888 and remodeled by Friedrich von Thiersch in 1902, and expanded in 1924 and 1942. The ensemble includes:
