Canada Place offers underground parking managed by WestPark. The entrance is located at 999 Canada Place. Given its central location and popularity, parking can fill up quickly, especially during peak cruise season or major events. It's advisable to arrive early or consider alternative transportation if visiting during busy times. There are also several other parking garages within a short walking distance in downtown Vancouver.

Canada Place is exceptionally well-connected by public transport. It's just a short walk from Waterfront Station, which is a major transit hub. From Waterfront Station, you can access:

The promenade itself is great for a leisurely walk, offering views of seaplanes, cruise ships, and the harbor. The Discovery Centre provides interactive exhibits about the Port of Vancouver. Additionally, the area often hosts family-friendly events, especially during holidays like Canada Day and Christmas.

While service animals are generally permitted inside the buildings, pets are typically not allowed inside the Vancouver Convention Centre, Pan Pacific Hotel, or FlyOver Canada. However, dogs on leashes are welcome on the outdoor promenade areas of Canada Place, making it a pleasant spot for a walk with your canine companion, provided they are well-behaved and you clean up after them.

Canada Place and its immediate vicinity boast several dining options with spectacular views. The Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel, located within the complex, offers fine dining with waterfront vistas. The covered areas of the promenade still offer glimpses of the harbor activity, albeit with less expansive views.

The duration of your visit to Canada Place can vary greatly depending on your interests. A casual stroll along the promenade to enjoy the views might take 30-60 minutes. If you plan to experience FlyOver Canada, allow an additional 30 minutes to an hour. Exploring the Discovery Centre and browsing shops could add another hour. If you're dining or attending an event, your visit could extend for several hours. Many visitors combine a trip to Canada Place with exploring nearby Gastown or Coal Harbour.

Beyond its iconic sails, Canada Place has a rich history. It was originally Pier B-C, built in 1927 by the Canadian Pacific Railway. The current structure was built as the Canada Pavilion for Expo 86, Vancouver's World's Fair. In 2024, it was officially co-named Komagata Maru Place to commemorate a significant historical event involving the Komagata Maru steamship in 1914. Also, the Heritage Horns on the roof of the Pan Pacific Hotel sound the first four notes of "O Canada" every day at noon.

The most integrated option is the luxurious Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel, which is part of the Canada Place complex itself, offering direct access and stunning waterfront views.
