The observation tower “Lachgang” is about two kilometers north of the car park at the lido Übersee and can be easily reached on foot from there along the shore path. The path leads past hay meadows, gnarled poplars and oaks. From the tower you can see the western side of the Achen delta with its diverse bird life. In addition to ducks, wild geese and herons, curlews, lapwings and dunlins can also be observed searching for food with binoculars or a telephoto lens. The tower provides information with bird panels and information boards that describe the special features of nature and local history.
