It's not without reason that Edewecht has a mill in its municipal coat of arms. Three of these charming and still fully functional buildings “from old times” are still in the municipality. A viewing is possible upon request. You can then explore the inside of the mill via narrow stairs and ladders, past huge wooden gear wheels, and possibly even climb into the cap (under the roof of the mill).

The koker windmill is a true replica of the Edewechter post windmill from 1879, which has been in the Cloppenburg open-air museum since 1955. Incidentally, koker in the name does not come from coking plants, but from quiver. The mill axis of rotation is hollow (quiver) and has received the shaft.

In addition to the Hüvener Mühle, the Koker Mühle is probably one of the most unusual post windmills that can be visited. Especially since post mills are quite rare overall.
