The highlight on the market is the town hall built in 1699/1702 with the façade and the stucco work in the rooms on the second floor by Dominikus Zimmermann, the builder of the Wieskirche. In 1749/1754 he was the mayor of this city himself.

The fortifications are among the most important monuments in Landsberg's old town. They date from different phases of urban development. Civic pride and a desire for representation were also expressed in the defensive structures. According to an inscription, the Bayertor, which can be seen from afar and was built in 1425, is one of the buildings with which the municipality wanted to impress travelers coming from Munich. The main tower is highlighted by colorful architectural paintings that were restored based on old findings.
