    The three watchtowers, on the castle hill, tower over the Alsace plain at 591 m. They were in the XI. and XIII. Century built. In the middle, the Wahlenbourg, the oldest. In the north, the Dagsbourg, in the south, the alarm clock, in the XIII. Century built.

                The oldest castle 'Wahlenbourg' of Les Trois Châteaux consists of a square keep. It was built in the 12th century and a residence from the 13th and 14th centuries.                                               The orientation of the keep, the ramparts and the openings in the walls show that this castle was oriented against the two castles, clearly emphasizing their conflicts.

                                              You can enter the fortress tower through an opening. A flashlight is recommended.
