    Like a queen, the Sellin Church of Grace stands on a slope west of August-Bebel-Straße. It also stands on princely ground, because the building site at the western end of Kirchstraße was once donated by the Princess and Lady of Putbus. And for the inauguration of the church, the German Empress and Queen of Prussia Auguste Victoria even donated the altar Bible and dedicated it to the church. A truly royal treasure that is carefully preserved in the parish archive. In 1960, the church was badly damaged by a fire. Nevertheless, it was rebuilt, despite all state power and violence. The church was given a new roof and three new bells, the interior was given a new, simple design and the organ was repaired by the Sauer company.
