The Cenang Beach (Pantai Cenang) is the most popular island beach. Pantai Cenang is about one and a half miles long and at low tide up to 120 feet wide. The beach, lined with palm trees and trees, is largely clean. Cenang Beach is home to numerous hotels and resorts of all categories and price ranges, many water sports centres, restaurants with spicy food and bars. Along the road running parallel to the beach, there are further localities, shops and small markets.

If you are into fun and water sports, Cenang Beach is the place to be. Numerous providers rent jet skis, water skis, banana or dragon boats at the beach. Parasailing is especially popular at Pantai Cenang, even if you are just an observer. Almost always you can see colorful parachutes soaring into the air somewhere.
