From the Soy Alm a path takes about 20-30 minutes to the Elferspitz. The last part is a small climbing section (no climbing, no safety equipment required) and just down there are a few steep and slippery sections even when dry. We divided our group, left our backpack at Soy Alm and made the ascent with light luggage.
The big cross is * not * the summit cross, but erected to commemorate the flood disaster of 1987 - in a small metal box on the cross there is a book about the flood disaster and a summit book.
