The large wood-paneled dining room with the green tiled stove dating from the turn of the century invites you to linger. A collection of local songbooks is available to guests. Culinary delights include beer and shandy, Wiener schnitzel, Tyrolean cheese dumplings and warm apple strudel.

The beds are divided into bunks so that you can enjoy a little privacy. There is enough storage space for luggage and clothes. From the large sun terrace you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Ötztal Alps.

Very cozy hut in an incredible location with delicious food and a magnificent view of the vastness and the glaciers. Breakfast is from 6:00 a.m. I can't recommend leaving the backpack at the bottom of the material track. The weather can always change quickly in the Alps and you may need an extra layer of clothing, or gloves, or a hat, or all. Water and bandages should always be with you.

Very nice and rustic hut ... very good food, and dogs are also supplied with water immediately. Whether as overnight guest or transient, all are equally well taken care of and treated :-)

Large hut with cozy camps, sovereign staff, delicious food and a magnificent view of the vastness and the glaciers. Breakfast is available from 6:00 👍. Ascent via the waterfall path is recommended.

Excellently equipped and organized hut on the E5. In my opinion, the disadvantage is the large size of the hut and the fact that its location makes it very popular and therefore full. If you are looking for a quiet overnight stay on a smaller scale, you should take a different route. On the other hand, the climb up the Jägersteig or at the waterfall is amazing, as are the views from the hut over the Pitztal and the glacier landscape. The glaciers certainly look badly damaged and you can witness the increasingly apparent effects of climate change here.

A classic cabin of the E5. But you can also stay very well in the glacier chalet. From there 3 ways lead up to the hut. The trade route, wide and passable. The waterfall path, slowly rising, always next to the water and then at the end steep.
And the Jägersteig. On a narrow path steeply upwards. I can recommend to make the backpack with the material web upwards and then to take the Jägersteig. A really nice climb.

A very nice and rustic hut. Whether as E5 hiker / overnight guest or as a traveler on day trip. Each guest is warmly and well looked after. Great food. Great view of the surrounding mountains.
Also our dogs were immediately supplied with water ... CLASS :-)

This tour offers a great view of the beautiful Pitztal. It is a tour where you get to know your limits. The 2759m are quickly underestimated by some hikers. The way up is really tough.

The hut was built in 1892 and expanded in 1932 and 1965. A general structural renovation took place from 2010 to 2012, and a seminar room was also set up.
