Walking in the water in Hanover usually means ... to the Maschsee, or to the leash. The Mittelland Canal is more suitable for hikers who like straight lines.
The canal runs through Hanover for more than 20 kilometers.

The Mittelland Canal is the longest man-made waterway in Germany with a length of about 325 km and connects the rivers Rhine and Oder.
Larger thought, it even enables a connection between Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Switzerland on the one hand ... with Poland and the Czech Republic on the other.
