The riverside path from Breitbrunn to the entrance to Herrsching is entertaining for walking and is shaped mainly by the many very picturesque trees. Mostly it is beech, but there are also maples, willows and oaks. Only in a few places does the path run directly along the shoreline, where it can sometimes disappear into the water if the water level is high. Usually a reed belt separates the lake, in some places it can get very muddy.

The riparian zone is under protection and may not be entered during the bird breeding season between March 1st and August 31st. Even if some stitch path may be tempting, there should be so much respect for nature. Dogs are also to be kept on a leash, sometimes the hunting instinct goes with them, whenever you don't expect it.

One of the most beautiful spots on my loop around the Ammersee - very idyllic location.
