          The larger outer harbor is protected with its outer harbor by two moles.

            The Eckernförde city harbor borders directly on the long spa beach with its promenade and is in the immediate vicinity of the old town and the city center. The funnel-shaped city harbor offers numerous berths for ships of all sizes. A bridge with a hinged section separates the outer harbor from the inner harbor. The inner harbor has a good 100 berths and is mainly used by residents with smaller boats. Occasionally fishing cutters and traditional sailing ships come alongside the quays.

            The pretty alleys and the pedestrian zone with good shopping facilities and a large selection of restaurants invite you to linger longer in Eckernförde.
