Kluckbachtal sawmill.
Sawmills used to be widespread in the Rureifel. Around 400-500 years ago there were several such mills in the valleys of the Belgenbach and the Rur. There was one on Reichenstein, another on the Eierbach near Eierau, on the Rur near Grünenthal, near Hammer and on the Belgenbach. The fact that there have been sawmills in a region for a long time can be deduced from sawn beams in buildings from earlier times. The mill in the Kluckbachtal is a replica of a sawmill that used to be found in many Eifel valleys.
