      Located directly under the castle ruins, the Poller ferry is a popular photo opportunity for motor and bicycle tourists who cross the river at this point. Yaw ferries, of which there are only very few left on the Weser, do not need their own drive. By inclining against the current, the flat ferry yaws along the high rope over the river. The Gierseilfähre Polle can transfer vehicles up to 40t. The ferry generally runs all year round.

      The following ferry times apply from January to March:

      Mon - Fri 6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
      Sat. 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.

                                                  It is difficult not to see the castle when driving past Polle. A visit is definitely worthwhile. You can get in for two euros. If you are traveling by car, you don't necessarily need the ferry. But nice by bike (if you're on the wrong bank) because the detour is too long.
