It was the first to be born among the historic villages of Bergamo. Already in the early Middle Ages, the city on the hill expanded in this direction. The village still exists. The walls, the houses, the streets are there. But the identity seems watered down. Borgo Canale begins near Porta Sant’Alessandro. From there the central street of the village descends in the direction of Lecco.

Beautiful stretch of paved road that runs through "Borgo Canale" ... "It was the first to be born among the historic villages of Bergamo.
