        There is much to discover here! The nature reserve Urdenbacher Kämpe on the border to Monheim is alluvial landscape and flooded area. It covers the area between the Rhine and an old arm of the river, which moved its course in the 14th century after a flood by several hundred meters to the west. The area is covered in northeast and southwest by riparian forests. The area "Forstgebiet Alter Rhein" is one of the last hardwood groves in the Lower Rhine. The Hartholzaue houses kingfisher, oriole, black kite and corncrake. Parts of the northwest are orchards and, like the northeast, pasture and grasslands. Poplars, ash and willow grow on the pastureland. In the middle and southern area are mainly agricultural arable land.
