An enchanting mountain lake, 56 ha in size and up to 36 m deep, lies at 883 m above sea level high above Scheffau in the midst of the Wilder Kaiser nature reserve. A hike around Lake Hintersteiner offers a deep view. A bike ride here is always worthwhile. Wonderful mountain lake with wonderful photo opportunities. The food here in the restaurant is also of the highest quality.
