    This narrow path leads along a hill. In some sections, it descends steeply. Surefootedness is essential and a prerequisite. But it's no challenge for young and old. You'll enjoy beautiful views of the Rhine the entire way.

        Narrow path along the steep slopes of the Middle Rhine Valley between the Hartenberg vantage point and the Werlauer Pilz.
        Sure-footedness and sturdy shoes required, medium risk of dizziness in some exposed areas. Partially slippery when wet.
        At the Werlauer Pilz, signs recommend using the meadow path when it is wet!

            Without question a very nice section that requires a little surefootedness. Partly very beautiful views of the opposite bank of the Rhine are revealed.

              A nice long climb. Nothing demanding, but about half a meter wide and it goes deep and steep downhill.
              A head for heights and surefootedness are required.
              I wouldn't go that route if it were wet.

                  A very beautiful trail, but you should be free from vertigo. The path is narrow, and there's a constant precipice on one side. Slightly alpine.
