Cozy pension in historical ambience. Among other things, the Pulvermühle became known through a meeting of "Gruppe 47", which held a conference here in October 1967 with well-known poets and writers. The powder mill is idyllically located directly on the Wiesent, in the heart of the Franconian Switzerland. You can find information about the pension here: pulvermuehle.de

Originally black powder was produced in the powder mill. In 1806 the troops of Napoleon Bonaparte blew up the mill. After the Second World War, the mill was increasingly expanded gastronomically. In October 1967, she hosted members of Group 47 for a literary meeting. For example, there were Günther Grass, Siegfried Lenz, Martin Walser and Marcel Reich-Ranicki. From 1968, chess players used the hostel and from October 1990, the former world champion Bobby Fisher dived here for three months.
