A hike to the Hohenhewen castle ruins is worthwhile just for the wonderful view. A viewing platform was built onto the rest of the keep, from which you can see the Hegau mountains, Lake Constance and the Swabian Alb to the north. In good weather and with a clear view, you can also see the Alps and the Black Forest.

One of the best and most ingenious viewpoints in Hegau!
On the viewing platform, which can be reached via the spiral staircase, you have a 360 ° view!
Even if you should be free from fear of heights. My pictures are a bit shaky 😅. But the climb was definitely worth it.
For those who prefer not to climb the viewing platform - numerous other viewpoints reward you with the best panoramic view!
