One of the most fascinating stories associated with the castle is the introduction by the prince Trojden in 1329 to the Mazovian heraldry of the green dragon - a wrangler - known from the pennants of King Arthur. This dragon is associated with the figure of Magnus, who ruled Czersk 200 years ago. Magnus was ... the son of the last king of England - before the conquest of North America - Harold II, Earl of the Duchy of Wessex, whose coat of arms was just wyvern. Harold II was killed in the Battle of Hastings, October 14, 1066, Magnus was in Mazovia several months after the battle.
The wyywerna is also a dragon from which a Warsaw mermaid has been created over the centuries.
The castle was destroyed during the Deluge of the Swedes and it did not rise again from the fall.

In the 11th century, a fortress with a brick church was built on a Vistula river. She protects the surrounding land from Lithuanian and Russian invasions. In the 12th century, Czersk was the seat of a castellany and, from the 13th century, the capital of the Piast dukes of the Mazovian dynasty.
