Hopi Point is an amazing view point into the depth of the Grand Canyon. Since it is the northernmost spot in the area of the canyon, you will be able to see as far as 20 miles. Look closely and you can see Havasupai Point and the Great Scenic Divide. Around 2,000 feet below is Dana Butte and you might spot some hikers on the Tonto Trail down there.

This view point is even more stunning around sunset. To get here, take the red route shuttle and get off the bus at stop number four.

One of the best vantage points in the Grand Canyon is Hopi Point. Since it projects much further into the canyon than any other, it offers a fantastic panorama. This area is particularly popular with visitors during the "golden hours" when the sun rises or at sunset, because then the sun bathes the canyon in bright orange to pink light.
It is the furthest north of the South Rim and the place to see more of the western Grand Canyon. The view goes over Dana Butte, a flat table mountain 600 meters below and in a westerly direction to Havasupai Point and the Great Scenic Divide, 20 miles away. Salt Creek on one side flows into the Colorado River at a series of rapids, on the other side Monument Creek flows into the river at the Granite Rapids.
