The bench is very nice in the sun, especially in the late afternoon, but a country road passes only a few meters away, so that one cannot really speak of quiet ...

This beautiful bench is located on a small hill at the entrance to Weyer, which can be reached via a few steps. Hidden behind the cross is the entrance to an old shaft or small cave. As a child, we were always told that there were still old gun cabinets there 😀 But these were certainly just old wives' tales. However, so that other children (besides me) do not come up with the idea of digging free the entrance, it was closed. However, the entrance is still visible.

It stands as a sign of our Christian hope and wants to direct our gaze to Jesus Christ, who has overcome death (...). The cross is part of our life as it was in the life of Jesus. So I wish that many people … visit the crosses, whether as places of stillness and breathing space before God, whether as places for community gatherings, prayer and praise to God.”
