Beautiful and, above all, shady path that leads through the gorge. The river cools the air a little even on sunny days, so that you can still walk relatively comfortably here even at 35° degrees.

Very nice to walk and especially in the summer you can find a bit of shade and can endure it even at 30 degrees plus.
If you are looking for peace here is wrong. Many tourists are crossing the road.
With the bike you can almost forget it, as many unreasonable curves reduce the fun quickly.
The idyll is a little clouded by the many interruptions that suddenly throw you into a residential area, but still highly recommended.

A beautiful path always leads along the Schwarzach through the gorge, where the small river pushes its way through the rocks. Easy to walk, sturdy shoes are recommended, the path leads past beautiful and bizarre rock formations, as well as two caves and a spring. Adventure playground for "young and old".

The entire gorge has been a designated 41-hectare nature reserve since 1936 and bears the cadastral number NSG-00300.01. The main reason for the defensive position is the wealth of mosses. In addition, mixed forests with beech, pine and spruce are to be found directly on the river Erlen-Auwälder and on the slopes. Due to the restrained use of forestry, the deadwood regularly remains.

Always nice on the Schwarzach gorge. Especially on the hot days of the year for dog and owner highly recommended. Bathing possibilities for the Wuffels along the gorge and then masters and / or mistresses can enjoy a refreshing drink in the beer garden 😊

Especially with children, I recommend the hike through the Schwarzach gorge, because there is no quibble here guaranteed. But shoes and clothes will not stay so clean, too many climbing possibilities, muddy spots and the river itself will take care of that.
