The enclosure is always a very nice experience for children. The wild boars are allowed to be fed, especially popular are (uncooked) spaghetti or acorns in the fall. The surrounding forest with forest sports path is small-scale and offers with its hills and undergrowth numerous hiding and play possibilities.

Here you can get a little closer to the wild boars. That's impressive for children. And you don't have to walk far from the parking lot, so it's a good incentive for the little ones to run.
You can still feed the pigs, but you are asked to hand over the donated feed in containers. Often it is a bit overrun, and the pigs are quite picky. Uncooked spaghetti has always worked best for us. Boiled potatoes, acorns, nuts and dry bread are also possible.

Wild boar enclosure Fürth

Wild boar enclosure in the city forest between Fürth and Zirndorf. The enclosure is a very nice experience, especially for children, as they have the opportunity to experience real wild boars up close and to feed them themselves - with stale bread, uncooked spaghetti or in autumn with acorns. Freshlings, the young of the wild boar, can also often be seen in spring or early summer. The wild boar enclosure in Fürth can be walked around in about 15 minutes.

The enclosure is open to the public at all times and does not cost any admission.

Directions

From the hiking car park behind the Hotel Forsthaus, just walk straight ahead into the forest. After about 200 m the enclosure begins on the right.

From Zirndorf approx. 1.6 km through the city forest.
