Very nice place with good fish restaurants. At the end of the village (at the children's playground) begins the coastal path through the lava fields. Magnificent views of the sea, but also inland to the volcanic cones.

El Golfo is a small coastal town in the southwest of Lanzarote. It belongs to the municipality of Yaiza, has 172 inhabitants (2011) and is popular with tourists because of its fish restaurants.

El Golfo is a small fishing village on Lanzarote, which is best known for its green lagoon. The green lake is called Charco de los Clicos or Lago Verde in Spanish and is located right at the entrance to the town. The lagoon is located between the volcanic crater of Montaña de Golfo and the sea. The Charco de los Clicos gets its green color from the algae that have formed in the lagoon.
