All animal lovers should pay a visit to the wildlife enclosure on Nöttler Berg. A beautiful, spacious area with around 40 species of animals in a natural environment.
The game reserve on Nöttler Berg has large runs in a forest area for mouflons, Sika, roe deer, fallow deer and red deer as well as wild, pot-bellied and woolly pigs.
Steppe cattle, ´backbred aurochs´ (cattle with the appearance of their exterminated ancestors), bison, donkeys, goats and various types of sheep live on paddocks. Raccoons, foxes (different colors), ferrets and nutrias can be seen in outdoor enclosures and cages.
In recent years, the lynx and wolves have been given simple but significantly expanded outdoor enclosures instead of the old cages.
Nice zoo (game reserve) in which not everything is necessarily new, but very nice. A nice destination for families, but fun even without children. Most people travel by car, but the surrounding country is wonderful to experience by bike.
