Bleijenbeek Castle is situated by the creek of Eckeltsebeek, the first mention of Bleijenbeek in 1405. At that time, the manor house probably consisted of a grange-encased farmhouse with a residential tower, and later the castle was gradually transformed into a medieval castle. February 1945, the imposing castle turned into a ruin.
