The Häuserl am Stoan is located at Zierleitengasse 42A, directly on Stadtwanderweg 2 on the Salmannsdorferhöhe, near the Zierleitenbrücke, in the 19th district of Vienna, Döbling.

History: In 1923, Maria & Johann Schreiber set up a small snack bar at this location, which is still used today as a storage room to provide hungry and thirsty hikers with refreshing food and drinks. Since more and more visitors came to enjoy the wonderful view of Vienna, it was decided in 1926 to expand the snack bar into a restaurant with a large outdoor dining area. During the conversion work, the stony subsoil was so difficult that the decision was made to call the restaurant "Häuserl am Stoan". Johanna Fitzka took over the Häuserl am Stoan in 1973 and ran it together with Kurt Fitzka until they retired in 1999. One of Andreas Fitzka's major challenges was to expand the restaurant with a winter garden and to build new toilet facilities.

Romantic forest inn, since 1923; Viennese home cooking. Specialty: Kasnocken; homemade pastries; Children's meals and armchairs, playground. TV. Rooms for 130 people. (Stüberl for 20, winter garden for 50 people - both to rent for events), in winter punch stand with a view. Garden with a beautiful view for 150 people. Disabled toilet.

Great destination for a hike in the Vienna Woods. Simple and cozy restaurant with regional and international dishes. Great panoramic view of Vienna and the surrounding area.

Note: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are days off.
