      From Gasthaus Wengerau a broad alpine path leads along gentle alpine meadows northeastwards to the entrance into a wooded steep step. A wide cart track winds very steeply over this step in a few serpentines. In the gutter after the cattle gate the cart path is left to the left. The following steep
      South slope is overcome by Latschengassen in several hairpin bends often chicken chicken-like wooden steps up to the Hackelhütte. Above the hut is the grassy and slippery southern slope of the bowl
      Crossing eastwards, you reach the Kar under the Tauernscharte. In large hairpin bends it goes between patter spots in the partly grassy, partly rubble-covered wide channel between the steep rock
      from Napf and Tauernkogel on Jausenstein over up. At the height of the Napfhöhle, the path leads up to the rocks on the west side. You now slip left of a needle through a narrow gap. Behind it is rope-safe over steep Schrofen in the carcass crossed (in the spring like covered by steep snow fields, can then be climbed above unsecured). Here, the trail changes to the east side and leads straight up along the western crashes of the Tauernkogel over the Karbecken to the Tauernscharte.
