Not far from the Kippenburg on the Godelsberg is the Teufelskanzel on the western slope, which consists of natural rocks. A great vantage point, which is secured with railings. 😀

Today's elegant residential area on the Godelsberg, formerly called Gottelsberg, was once a wine-growing region and a large wasteland. Magnificent views of Goldbach and the town still attract hikers and those looking for relaxation.
Above all, the "Teufelskanzel" formed by a few boulders on the western slope of the Godelsberg is particularly popular. All sorts of stories are entwined around its creation. It is said to have been the devil incarnate who either threw off the boulders in anger or accidentally lost them while soaring through the air. Can't be more specific today...
