The Felssteinmauerei is not the remainder of an old building, not even an old ruin. The remainders of a "castle ruin" were based on the so-called "castle romance" (those who had no castle or castle ruin far and wide built themselves a small one). She is well preserved to this day. The walling of the spring was built around 1905 and had no special significance. This was done only to protect the mouth of the spring in the lake and to receive it as a visible drinking water for walkers and tourists.

Until the 70th years hung on a forged hook always a beer glass for drinking for everyone. Of course, those who walked around the lake had to drink from the spring, because afterwards they felt "happier".

For Easter as Easter water, that was self-evident.

Today hardly any water flows there and certainly no longer suitable as drinking water.
