Great view from the more than 1,000 meter high Plettenberg. The Plettenberghütte in the south just below the summit invites you to take a break. The hut, like many huts in the Swabian Alb, is operated by the Swabian Alb Association as a hiker's hut.

About 1000 meters high is this survey of the Swabian Alb. And exactly 1001.6 meters. On top of it all comes the 158 meter high telecommunications tower. Thus, the Plettenberg is easy to see and recognize from afar. Once you have climbed the mountain, you have earned a little snack in the Plettenberg hut. Small, hearty dishes from the Vesperkarte, oven-fresh cakes and coffee, refreshing drinks delight the hiker and of course the hiking woman. A special specialty is the house schnapps "Plettenberggeist", which is made from local herbs.

all year round on Sundays and public holidays
Apr - Oct: 10am - 7pm
Nov - Mar: 10am - 6pm
except:
- New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, 25 December and New Year's Eve
On Saturdays the hut is generally closed
