Until the beginning of the 20th century, the settlement only consisted of the actual Lehnamühle. In 1901 the mill was converted into a wood grinding mill and shortly afterwards became a cardboard factory.

Until the beginning of the 20th century, the settlement consisted only of the actual Lehnamühle. In 1901 the mill was converted into a wood grinding shop and shortly afterwards converted into a cardboard factory. Before the Second World War, the plant was the largest manufacturer of shoe and suitcase cardboard in Europe. Operations ceased in the early 1990s. In the following years, the largest part of the plant was demolished.
