Here in the "Elysium", in the upper reaches of the Käsenbachtal close to the city and just below the Neuer Botanischer Garten, a three-tonne sculpture from the Franconian-Swabian Muschelkalk from the Tübingen Steinmetzwerkstatt Krauß was erected in 1986. It marks the geographical center of the state of Baden -Württemberg, which was calculated by the Stuttgart Land Survey Office in 1980. This geographic center was calculated in 1986 using Gauss's area formula.
There is a second geographic center in the south of Böblingen.
It was made in 2017 with the
Extreme value calculation measured. Who is right ?
The hiker can be happy, he can make two tours.
