The weathered rock giant White stone is made of bright quartzite and thus differs significantly from the color of the black stone, a few minutes walk from here. The robber captain Johannes Karasek met here with his cronies and should, according to legend, in the cracks and caves of the stone have hidden his treasure.

The white stone consists largely of quartzite and muscovite flakes. He belongs to the same gang that continues west past the forest castle near Seifhennersdorf to Šluknov. The rock, which is up to 50 meters thick, has a white to yellow, sometimes reddish or brown color. Due to the steep slope of the rock layer, it acts as a groundwater barrier, causing the springs to the north to dry up in summer.

Due to the different degrees of hardness of the rock, blocks, rock rubble and also shaft-like cavities were created when the rock eroded.

At the end of the 18th century, the robber captain Johannes Karasek set up a meeting point for his gang on this rock massif, which also included a cave in the White Stone. It is also popularly said that Karasek is said to have buried treasure here.
