Anyone who chooses the Narrenkogel and perhaps the neighboring Poschachkogel as destination is truly no fool. Because the tour up there certainly costs a lot of drops of sweat, but they pay off at the latest when you can enjoy the magnificent view of the glacier mountains of the neighboring Geigenkamm from one of the many forest clearings or above the tree line. Despite the tedious route, this mountain tour is very popular, and anyone who wants to be alone should set off early. Then, in the dorm, you might even come across a wood grouse or other rare wild animal.

The path leads through the forest and finally over meadows with alpine roses. The view is great and the climb can be easily combined with the path along the Stuibenfalls.

A wonderful view of the surrounding villages and a direct view of the Brand and the Hemmerkogel. I recommend the ascent in the morning from the west side (coming from the Bichle Alm), as it is more shady and therefore not quite as strenuous.
