Shortly before Füssen, the Lech falls like a waterfall in a cascading weir built from 1784. The stowage above is now completely sedimented. Afterwards, the river squeezes through a gorge-like narrow point, which, after a horseshoe-shaped rock depression above the wall, is also referred to as the Mang Kick. At Füssen the Lech reaches the foothills of the Alps and flows into the Forggensee, the largest reservoir in Germany.
