For 82, - NZD you can either have a boat to the north side or to Rangatira. The permit for the protected area is included.
The wonderful singing of the birds is already noticeable on arrival. The hike is a unique experience. We recommend walking alone, then you have more of the bird life. You don't see the animals often and not particularly well, but the acoustic experience alone is worth the effort of the way. There is also the steeper Trig Track and 2 flat shorter routes, which do not fill the length of stay.
The excursion starts at 9:00 am or earlier and ends at 3:00 pm (pick-up at the beach in Kapiti Island), then 15 minutes. Crossing.
