    Puig Neulós is the highest point of the Albères massif. It marks the Franco-Spanish border.
    If we refer to the toponymy, this 1,256 meter summit is often in the clouds. In fact “neulós” means covered in clouds in Catalan.

                  The 1256 m high Puig Neulós (French: Pic du Néoulous) has formed the border between France and Spain since the Peace of the Pyrenees in 1659. From there you have a unique view of the Roussillon plain and the north of Catalonia with a view of the Bay of Rosas. As is often the case in France, there are numerous transmitters on the summit area, which unfortunately somewhat detract from the beautiful impression. From the French side there is also an asphalted path to the summit, although this is reserved for the military.
                  The GR10 long-distance hiking trail, which stretches in the Pyrenees from the Bay of Biscay to the Mediterranean, also leads over the summit.
