The Isola Bella (German: beautiful island) is an island in Lake Maggiore. It belongs to the Borromean Islands and is located in the Borromean Gulf of the lake, about 400 meters before the municipality of Stresa. It is 320 meters long and 180 meters wide, in the northwest it is built on with the Palazzo Borromeo, to which the palace gardens are connected in the southeast.
