At the foot of the Watzmann at 1,400 meters altitude, the freshly prepared delicacies taste particularly good. A beautiful little Alm with a fantastic view of the Watzmann!
Here are simple and super good cheese or bacon loaves. In addition a glass of fresh milk from happy cows and already the efforts of the rise are forgotten!

A really worthwhile destination under the Berchtesgadener Walzmann.
The food is very good and the approach on the not too steep forest road for untrained MTB possible.
A shorter detour to the Archenkanzel, the path starts directly behind the hut, but is also mandatory here; ).

What's the difference between Berchtesgaden and Berchtesgadener Land?
Berchtesgadener Land is the entire region in the southeasternmost tip of Bavaria – a district with many special places: Ramsau, Schönau am Königssee, Bad Reichenhall, Bischofswiesen, Marktschellenberg, and Berchtesgaden itself. In short: Berchtesgaden is part of Berchtesgadener Land – but not all of it.

You can eat well here. The menu offers a nice selection of regional dishes. The cuisine here is also excellent.
Be sure to visit the chapel opposite. The mountain victims of the Berchtesgadener Land are remembered here. A special plaque is dedicated only to the victims of the Watzmann east wall.
A short detour from here to the Archenkanzel is also recommended.

If you are on a hike/MTB tour to the Kührointalm, be sure to plan a detour to the Archenkanzel. From the Archenkanzel you have a fantastic view of Königssee and St. Bartholomä.
You can ride an MTB up to just before the Archenkanzel. You have to walk the last few meters.
