The Queen's Staircase was carved out of limestone by slaves at the end of the 18th century in order to give British troops the most protected route to Fort Fincastle.
Queen's Staircase - the Queen's Staircase - is located in Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, and is one of the city's most popular attractions. Its 65 steps were chiselled directly from the limestone in honor of Queen Victoria from 1793 to 1794 using enormous craftsmanship and supposedly only with axes and other sharp tools.
