Leave performance anxiety aside and take a few stops to enjoy the surrounding panorama: the Colle del Nivolet is one of the most panoramic climbs in the Alps. The final hairpin bends overlooking the lakes are truly special.

The 3.5 km long tunnel can now be bypassed on the old road. The road was repaired for the Giro d'Italia 2019 and freshly asphalted. The entrance to this bypass is not signaled (as of June 2019), but it is easy to find on both sides just before the entrance to the tunnel.
