The St. Hubertus forest restaurant is in a scenic location right on the edge of the forest and on the large Praforst pond. The forest restaurant is run by the Zuspann family, which has a special reputation in the Fulda region. The Zuspann family business has been closely linked to gastronomy for over 300 years. Today's company bosses Elmar Zuspann and his son Marc have been carrying on the tradition for many generations, always focusing on regionality.

I do not know whether this forest house is still inhabited by a forester. However, I could tell from my parents' stories that this was the case in the post-war years. From the outside, the old building makes a well-preserved impression.

The Praforst is a nice recreation area with numerous hiking trails. Thanks to the gastronomy, a welcome place for strengthening and resting.
