This church at the end of Calle de La Carrera is one of the oldest churches on the island. In 1947 it was declared a cultural asset. The tower towering above the surrounding buildings reveals numerous different styles due to various conversions that were carried out until the 17th century. The La Concepción church has three naves, separated by partitions with arched rows of arches and spanned by coffered ceilings made of carved wood. The church's art treasures include a cedar pulpit, a Sevillian ceramic pot from the 15th century, the wooden monstrance on which the first Corpus Christi ceremony was held on the island, and various sculptures and goldsmith work.
