The town's parish church is pure Baroque, but dates back to the time of the town's founding in 1224.

At that time, a church was built opposite the ducal palace. The lower five stories of the tower still have Romanesque round-arch friezes. Around 1480, during the Late Gothic period, the people of Landau expanded their parish church. However, it was only the legacy of Baroness Maria Theresia von Puchleiten that made the construction of the magnificent church possible between 1713 and 1726.

Eight side altars on the wall pillars, as well as the high altar, are decorated with walnut veneer and gold leaf. The Baroque side panels have been smoothed by generations of worshippers. A gem worth seeing with a serene atmosphere.
