Very nicely laid out and well-kept circular route with approx. 10km. Many interesting display boards and texts. I can recommend it.

At around 630 k, the west wall loses from the Dutch to the Swiss border in the south. The Schaidter Westwallweg forms a small part of it. This themed trail leads to ponds and also historical legacies of the 2nd WW. over.

The hiking sign with the red dot shows you the 8-kilometer-long circular hiking trail, which turns out to be the small West Wall hiking trail, past natural monuments and picturesque ruins. In the Bienwald itself, among other things, there is evidence of the past use of kilns for iron production. The West Wall hiking trail comes in two versions: the short one with 8 kilometers and the long one with 16 kilometers.
