The water is a little warmer all year round than on the long, open beaches of Maspalomas. Jet skis, sailors and surfers cavort off the coast.
In general, a lot of water sports are practiced in Puerto Rico. In addition to surfing and sailing courses, there is also a diving school in town that offers diving courses and diving excursions.
The sandy beach is completely artificial. For this purpose, fine Sahara sand was used, which was transported from the Sahara by ship with a lot of effort. Experience has shown that the beach in Puerto Rico is quite full in summer. If you like, you can switch to the dream beach Playa Amadores (the beach of lovers), which is a few kilometers from Puerto Rico in the direction of Puerto de Mogan.
